Tweed Escapes (Coolangatta/Tweed Golf Club Marina)
In partnership with Tweed Escapes, this guided boat tour takes young explorers down the stunning Tweed River, offering breathtaking scenery and a hands-on introduction to the local environment.
Kids will have the chance to cast a line from the boat to try their luck fishing. There will be an opportunity to stop off at Ukerebagh Nature Reserve to explore the local flora, fauna and marine life, and have a go at fishing in the island’s fish trap. If tides permit, kids can also try their hand at yabby pumping! As well as being a lot of fun, these activities help kids develop key skills such as focus, patience, coordination, and teamwork.
Guided by an occupational therapist, this program also fosters sensory exploration and builds confidence as children engage with nature.
It’s the perfect mix of education, skill-building, and fun – ideal for curious kids ready to explore the wonders of the river firsthand.
