This is a simple and great self regulation tool for children. It provides increased proprioceptive input (heavy work) to the muscle and joints which helps to calm and organise the nervous system, increasing a child’s ability to sit still and remain focused on a task.
Tip: Tie it around your child’s chair at mealtimes, during homework or at school during seated activities. Pushing feet or legs against the band, increases a child’s concentration and ability to sit still at the table for longer.
